چکیده
In this study, the seismic performance of a 20-storey steel structure with mat foundation located on layered soil is investigated under an array strong ground excitations, which includes 6 far-fault and near-fault earthquakes. Eight different modes for layering have been considered in numerical simulation. FLAC 2D nonlinear platform has used to model near-realistic behavior. To end, hundred lines codes sub-routines developed perform analysis. The results analyzes include absolute displacement floors, ratio relative shear force, axial bending moment columns. It was concluded that 20-story both far-field near-field earthquakes, most reliable type dense sandy critical case soft clay soil. also observed motions imposed more structural responses compared records.

Performance of Mid-rise Buildings with Tubular Structure Under the Effect of Near Field Earthquakes
The aim objective of this study is to investigate the effects of near-field earthquakes on the response of mid-rise buildings with tubular structure. For this purpose, a 20-story building with a square plan of six by six bays, all with 6 m span, and story height of 3.70 m is considered. Axial force of columns, shear lag, and inter-story drift values are used as the main response parameters. N...

متن کاملEffects of Far- and Near-Field Multiple Earthquakes on the RC SDOF Fragility Curves Using Different First Shock Scaling Methods
Typically, to study the effects of consecutive earthquakes, it is necessary to consider definite intensity levels of the first shock. Methods commonly used to define intensity involve scaling the first shock to a specified maximum interstorey drift. In this study the structure’s predefined elastic spectral acceleration caused by the first shock is also considered for scaling. This study aims to...
